The Pakistan Association of Dermatologist will hold the South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (Saarc) conference on skin diseases schedule to be held in Lahore from November 14 and 18. The conference, first ever of this kind is titled "new horizons in Asian dermatology".
The organising Committee Chairman, Professor Atif Kazmi informed a press conference on Saturday that Up to 500 to 1,000 foreign delegates from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Britain, United States, Philippines, Thailand, Afghanistan, Iran and Nigeria have registered for their participation.
The Secretary of the committee, Muhammad Azam Bokhari and Media Manager Dr Massood were also present in the press briefing. Kazmi also informed the press that participants would present over 100 scientific papers with new concepts and perspectives in dermatology to help doctors to exchanging their ideas and skills.
Some of the disease, he said were chronic and their rise was because of environmental pollution, building construction and industrialisation. The SAARC moot will help presenting Pakistan's positive image in the world, said the organisers. Kazmi, while explaining the security arrangements, said the government and other law agencies had assured co-operation in this regard.
