Sindh University has set up a Digital Library in collaboration with Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad at the Allama I. I. Kazi Central Library of the university. Vice Chancellor Sindh University Mazharul Haq Siddiqui inaugurated the digital library in a ceremony on Saturday attended by deans of the faculties, directors and chairman of the centres and others.
In the newly inaugurated library more than 40000 electronic books and 23000 research journals has been made available for study of the students and research scholars in 55 disciplines.
The digital library has been established the 2nd floor of the Allama I.I.Kazi Library building with 50 modern computers. The access to the digital library would be free of charges to the teachers and research scholars while student can use it with payment of Rs 5 per hour as token charges.
