The Agha Khan Development Network (AKDN) is organising a seminar on evolution of development in Hunza and Nagar on Wednesday at Girls Degree College Karim Abad Hunza.
The seminar is aimed at carrying out an exercise to reflect back on the development of last 50 years and also to envision the future to identify the futuristic needs in order to understand and to create awareness of development process in Hunza and Nagar.
To develop ways and means of developing harmony and areas of potential synergies and to identify future issues, challenges and opportunities in both the areas and to see the commonality and differences, said a press release here on Sunday.
Both Hunza and Nagar hold a long and unique history and have experienced many new dimensions of community development and learned variety of lessons in development and gone through different models of development.
The seminar will identify and highlight the areas of common interest and the areas of the individual preferences so that a broader outlook of the development in the both valley envisioned.
The role of AKDN will also be looked into in terms of its past achievements and future framework with identified needs. This programme will essentially focus on the local context and development understanding.
