-- Secure high-speed data networks that are scalable and optimised as per customer requirements
--All through One Hassle Free connection!
WiMAX! What is it all about?
WiMAX (World Interoperability for Microwave Access) is an evolution path towards 4G. It is Primarily based on the IEEE 802.16 standard which is expected to enable true broadband speed over wireless networks at a cost point to enable mass market adoption. WiMAX is the only wireless standard to date that has the ability to deliver true broadband speeds and help make the vision of pervasive connectivity a reality.
WiMAX (World interoperability for Microwave Access) is a standards-based technology enabling the delivery of last mile wireless broadband access as an alternative to wired broadband like cable and DSL. WiMAX provides fixed, nomadic, portable and soon, mobile wireless broadband connectivity. With the advancements made on Internet related technologies, IP (Internet Protocol) has emerged as the de-facto standard for providing traffic delivery over the Internet.
WiMAX, The Difference:
One of the key driving factors of WiMAX technology and deployment is the interoperability of WiMAX equipment which is certified by the WiMAX forum. The WiMAX forum garners leaders in the communications and computing industries to build a common platform for the enhancement of the global deployment of IP-based broadband wireless services. Interoperability assurance has increased to the confidence of customers in the technology and driven mass volumes of sales of all different vendor equipment and services. Other key driving factors are as follows:
HIGHER CAPACITY:
A key advantage of WiMAX is the ability to deliver higher bandwidth efficiency and therefore higher data throughput, with up to 2 Mbps data / Internet rates.
WIDER COVERAGE:
The technology behind WiMAX has been optimised to provide excellent Non Line of Sight (NLOS) coverage thereby maximising your access without he hurdles of elements obstructing the line of sight, and thus increasing bandwidth throughput upto a distance of 1.5 km.
QUALITY OF SERVICE (QOS):
As opposed to priority-based QoS schemes, it enables support for guaranteed service levels including committed and peak information rates, latency, and jitter for varied types of traffic on a customer-by-customer basis.
LOWER COST:
A driving reason for the development of WiMAX is its potential to reduce the cost and time to deploy. WiMAX is highly suitable for increasing mass-market demand due to cost-effective, high throughput broadband wireless services. Having a common platform drives down costs with volume opportunity.
SCALABILITY:
Mobile WiMAX technology is scalable to work in different channelizations from 1.25 to 20 Mhz to go along with different worldwide requirements.
SECURITY:
The features provided for Mobile WiMAX security aspects are best in class with EAP-based authentication, AES-CCM-based authenticated encryption, and CMAC and HMAC based control message protection schemes. Support for a diverse set of user credentials exists including; SIM/USIM cards, Smart Cards, Digital Certificates, and Username/Password schemes based on the relevant EAP methods for the credential type.
Wateen WiMAX: What's in it for You?
Wateen WiMAX has been optimised to deliver multimedia, Internet, and voice traffic over wireless medium. Wateen WiMAX thus enables the delivery of different types of content and applications through a single connection. Subscribers can use advanced telephony, surf the Internet at super-fast speed, make video calls, and watch IP-TV through the comfort and ease afforded by a single connection.
Wateen Telecom brings a one stop solution for all your communication needs. As our valued subscriber you get a single bill for you telephony and Internet needs get a premium service at an affordable price get a caring customer support round the clock get a reliable, hassle-free connection are "always on"
THE OFFERINGS....
The data service offers secure offers secure transmission of data between single or multiple locations. These services are based on Quality of Service (QoS) standard, which ensures that there is no packet loss during the data transmission:
Broadband Data & Internet:
The bandwidth requirements are a function of the network and application architecture running across the organisation. In a bank running on a hierarchical hub-and-spoke application / network architecture, the central hub may require an E1 (2Mbps) connectivity or even higher, whereas a 128Kb link may be sufficient for the needs of outer rim bank branches.
Wateen, keeping in view the current market trends, offers a minimum of 128kbps connectivity to the corporate customers with a market competitive pricing:
-- 128Kbps
-- 256Kbps
-- 512Kbps
-- 1Mbps
-- VPN Connectivity
As part of its data services, Wateen provides end-to-end connectivity to corporate customers where WiMAX serves for last mile connectivity. Due to sophisticated encryption techniques, the link appears as a private point to point link ensuring maximum security. VPNs can exist in a point-to-point, point to multipoint, or multipoint to multipoint configuration.
Wateens' clear channel circuit or layer 2 MPLS VPN (also known as L2VPN), provide point-to-point "pseudo-wire" service which is used to replace existing physical links based on TDM circuits.
Furthermore, its MPLS Core also provides ability to provide L3 VPN services which can start with at least two offices connected to Wateen's network and then scaled up to any multi-point connectivity.
TELEPHONY:
Backed by the latest IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem), we offer broad based telephony solutions ranging from a simple Direct Exchange Line to Managed Services. 'We provide you carefree, cost effective and reliable telephony services based upon innovative technology and state-of-the-art networks.
Leveraged on country wide coverage, our own LDI operations and optic fiber long haul, the ultimate cost benefit is transferred to our valued customers. On top of a wide solution base, Wateen Telecom offers attractive tariffs that are tailored to your calling patterns.
