The Director Haj, Lahore, Syed Farogh Aftab Zaidi, on Tuesday said as per the latest decision of the Saudi government the weight of pilgrims' luggage must not be more than 32-kg while on way back from the holy land.
Speaking at the training programme of intending Hajis at the Haji camp here, he asked them to follow instructions in this regard and ensure that their luggage is not more than the fixed limit while coming back from the holy land. Zaidi said the Hajis's additional luggage would not reach Pakistan even if they paid more fare to PIA or Saudi Airlines for it.
He said Hajis would have to arrange 'Zam Zam' water for themselves while they would be allowed to bring 10 liter of the water by PIA or Saudi Airlines free of cost in addition to their baggage.
Zaidi said the cane for Zam Zam water must be covered with plastic coating, adding that arrangements have been made for plastic covers for canes at the Jeddha Airport. He advised them not to use blades/razors of each other for shaving their heads as it may prove harmful and they may contract some dangerous diseases. He also advised them to ensure cleanliness and follow principles of hygiene during their stay in Saudia and take simple food.
