Sindh Democratic Forum (SDF) has strongly condemned what it said imposition of martial law in the garb of emergency in the country by General Pervaz Musharraf.
In a statement issued here, Convenor SDF Abrar Kazi, Secretary Zulfiqar Halepoto, members Muhammad Ibrahim Joyo, Nazeer Memon, Dr Nazi Shaikh, Aslam Balouch, A. A Qureshi and others noted that it was a great embarrassment for the people of Pakistan that in the 21st century army chief could suspend the constitution, put the judges of higher judiciary 'behind bars', including the chief justice of Pakistan, clamp censor on media by blocking all news channels and arrest lawyers, political workers and civil society activists on a massive scale.
