The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) filed an application in the Accountability Court for the adjournment of the hearing on corruption and money laundering references against PML-N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif, former Punjab Chief Minister and PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif and other family members till November 23.
The Accountability Court, after receiving a written request from the NAB has adjourned the hearing on corruption references against Sharif family. The judge of the Accountability Court No 4, Rawalpindi, Khalid Mehmood resumed the hearing on three references against Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Abbas Sharif and other members of Sharif family.
The deputy prosecutor of NAB Zulfiqar Bhutta filed a written application pleading that in the present political situation it is not possible to continue the hearing on the corruption references against Sharif family, so that the learned court should adjourn the hearing till November 23. Admitting the plea of the NAB deputy Prosecutor, the learned judge has adjourned the hearing till November 23.
The NAB has filed three references against Mian Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Abbas Sharif , Hasssan Nawaz, Hamza Shahbaz, Shamim Akhtar, Sabiha Abbas, Mariyam Safdar and Mian Muhammad Sharif (Late) in the accountability courts regarding the money laundering, Hudabiya Paper Mill, Ittefaq Foundry and Raiwind Real Estate. It may be recalled that NAB has reopened the cases against Sharif family on August 24, after Nawaz Sharif's decision to return to Pakistan on September 10.
