A seminar on "Disability Prevention, Rehabilitation and Management" would be held here on Monday. The event is being organised by National Council of Social Welfare (NCSW), Social Welfare Ministry.
It is aimed at promoting full participation of disabled persons in social life and development as well as prevention and rehabilitation measures, official told APP here on Saturday.
He said special people were important segment of society and they were willing to contribute to economic, political and cultural life of their communities, but were facing barriers, which must be eliminated to ensure their active participation. NCSW Chairman Rais Jahangir Ahmed, as the chief guest, would brief the participants about the achievements and plans of the government for welfare of challenged persons.
