Dr Ghulam Rasul and Faisal Saeed of Pakistan Meteorological Department have received the senior and young scientist awards of Saarc for the year 2006 as per unanimous assessment of all the member states, says a Press Release.
Saarc Technical Committee on Science and Technology announced these awards in a meeting held in Dhakah on November 04, 2007.
Dr Ghulam Rasul is winner of the Saarc young scientist award of 1994 also. His research work has been recently published by the Elsevier Publishers in a book on Development in Earth Surface Processes entitled "Mountaias Witness of Global Changes", the release said.
It further said that Dr Rasul also contributed in a book on "Advance in Atmospheric Sciences" published in Beijing Press in 2005. In addition, Dr Rasul is author of 31 research papers published in national and international journals of repute.-PR
