The Karachi Port handled 119,055 tonnes cargo including 77,900 tonnes import, 41,155 tonnes export cargo and 3,664 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 80,061 tonnes dry cargo including 38,816 tonnes general cargo; 13,286 tonnes fertiliser; 11,000 tonnes coal; 2,075 tonnes rice; 14,884 tonnes clinkers and 38,994 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Six ships namely APL Shenzhen, PAC Antlia, Marina Star-1, Ibn Bassam, Akaki and Fade-1 sailed out to sea during the report period.
Seven vessels viz Wehr Rissan, Marina Star-1, Emirates Jumeirah, Hyundai Highway, Noor-e-Madina, Lalazar and St James Park are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Wehr Rissan, Cap Colorado, Noor-e-Madina and Hyundai Highway expected to sail on Thursday, while another two vessels viz Iroquois Maiden and Lalazar are expected to sail on Friday.
Three vessels namely Iran Tabatabaei, Wadi Al-Rayan and Astra due to arrive on Thursday, while another five ships namely Ts Nagoya, OEL Trust, Hanjin Qingdao, Kapitan Byankin and Naftocement XI are due to arrive on Friday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 56,409 tonnes comprising 30,476 tonnes import and 25,993 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,337 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 16,740 tonnes coal and 39,729 tonnes containerised cargo. Three ships namely MT Despina, CV ACX Margurite and Nedlloyd Asia sailed out to sea during the report period. A total of five ships namely Al-Wajba, CMA CGM Puget, Al-Wajba,, Antonis and Astra carrying containers, diesel oil, coal and rape seeds are currently at the outer anchorage.
Four vessels viz CV ACX Margurite, CV Nedlloyd Asia, MV Progress-II and MV Yick Zao are currently occupying berths to load/offload container and coal respectively during the report period.
Four vessels viz CV CMA CGM Puget, CV Al-Wajba, MT Al-Wajba and MT Gemini due to take berths at Container Terminal, FOTCO Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Thursday. Five ships namely CV Maersk Novazzano, CV MSC Rosa-M, CV Sima Paya, MT Qem Star and MV Leopard B due to arrive on Friday, while another vessel viz CV MSC Finland is due to arrive on Saturday.
