Out of 29 sugar mills, eleven mills have started cane-crushing season 2007 with full swing in different parts of Sindh. The officials of Cane Commissioner Sindh Office informed APP on Friday that Sanghar Sugar Mills had already started crushing within due period.
The other ten sugar mills including Al-Abbas Sugar Mills, Habib Sugar Mills, Mirpurkhas Sugar Mills, Al-Noor Sugar Mills, Khairpur Sugar Mills, Rani Pur Sugar Mills, Digri Sugar Mills, Mehran Sugar Mills and Laar Sugar Mills have started crushing after execution of legal action under Sugarcane Factories Control Act 1950.
The sources informed that the management of Tharparkar Sugar Mills, Ansari Sugar Mills, Faran Sugar Mills and Fauji Sugar Mills also preparing to start cane crushing from Friday evening and with the start of these four sugar mills, 15 sugar mills would be made operational.
