The Karachi Port handled 61,010 tonnes cargo including 41,211 tonnes import, 19,799 tonnes export cargo and 1,368 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.The cargo comprised of 54,710 tonnes dry cargo including 19,751 tonnes general cargo; 34,959 tonnes bulk cargo and 6,300 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Two ships namely YM Xiamen and Wadi Al-Rayan sailed out to sea during the report period. Five vessels viz OEL Trust, Kapitan Byankin, TS Nagoya, Hanjin Qingdao and Naftocement XI are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Iran Tabatabaei, Chi Feng Kou, TS Nagoya and Sea Tank expected to sail on Saturday, while another five vessels viz Atarasia, OEL Trust, St James Park, Jaipur and Capetan Lefteris are expected to sail on Sunday.
Six vessels viz Bunga Kenari, Ninos, Gulf Bridge, Sealo-1, C Galaxy and Ceni Antartieo due to arrive on Saturday, while another five ships namely MT Swat, Harmony, Jitar Bhum, Ltc Calvin P. Titus and Ever Given are due to arrive on Sunday. Five vessels viz Emerald Park, Process, Grand Ruby, Lucky Arrow and Hanen are due to arrive on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 17,633 tonnes diesel oil; 10,137 tonnes edible oil; 19,680 tonnes coal; 3,016 tonnes chemicals and 30,776 tonnes containerised cargo. Three ships namely CV Sima Pride, CMA CGM Puget and MT Al-Maqwa sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
Two vessels viz MT Qem Star and MV Yick Zao are expected to sail on Saturday. A total of five ships namely Antonis, Leopard B, MSC Rosa-M, MSC Finland and MSC Dymphna carrying seeds, cement and containers are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano, CV Sima Pride, MV Yick Zao, MV Astra, MT Gemini, MT Al-Maqwa and MT Qem Star are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, edible oil and diesel oil respectively during the report period.
Three vessels viz CV MSC Finland, CV MSC Rosa-M and MV Antonis due to take berths at Container Terminal and Marginal Wharf respectively on Saturday. Container vessel Cap Arkitas is due to arrive on Sunday.
