Pakistan Muslim League-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said the emergency would be lifted before the upcoming elections as the PML does not need it and it would win the polls on basis of its performance.
Addressing a public meeting on Sunday, Chaudhry Shujaat pointed out that they had not quitted the power if they needed state of emergency but they would inform the masses about the PML-Q five-government performance.
He vowed that they would not allow Pakistan Peoples Party Chairperson Benazir Bhutto to carry out her desire about handing over of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan as the whole nation along with them.
The PML-Q president hoped that the people would reject the PPP as it always made compromise on national interests, adding that the PML would foil the PPP ambitions.
