Thailand shares may trade narrowly

Thai share prices are expected to trade narrowly due to sustained worries over US credit market woes, dealers said. "The US subprime crisis will continue to weigh on the market. Investors are worried how long the crisis will continue," said Wiriya Lappromrattana, head of research at Kiatnakin Securities.
Wiriya said investors would also likely sell energy-linked stocks in line with easing global oil prices.
"Foreign investors will keep selling energy stocks as oil prices are sharply down from a record high," she said. Energy shares alone account for nearly 30 percent of the Thai bourse.
