Pakistan Peoples Party's Information Secretary, Sherry Rehman has condemned the arrests of 175 journalists in Karachi. The use of brutal force against journalists was both shocking and atrocious, she said adding every passing day the regime throws a new surprise, breaking its past record of brutality and oppression.
She said, "every move of the regime, which is desperately clinging on to power despite mass resistance, is worse than the last." She demanded immediate release of the arrested journalists that also includes Shamim-ur-Rehman and Hafiz-ur-Rehman, the current and the former presidents of the Karachi Union of Journalists.
