The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Mazharul Haq Siddiqui said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was great leader with the high qualities of liberal, tolerant and lover of freedom.
He was speaking while inaugurating one day National Conference on "Pakistan-The Vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah", organised by Pakistan Study Center University of Sindh on Tuesday.
The conferences was attended by a large number of learned scholars from different Universities and research organisations of the country and contributed their papers on the occasion. The conference was divided in different working sessions, which were chaired by the learned scholars.
The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a genuine ambassador of Unity. He said that leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah achieved the separate homeland for Muslims of the subcontinent. He said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah gave identity to concept of Muslims from cultural point of view.
The Vice Chancellor welcomed the learned scholars who came from different parts of Country to participate in the conference and appreciated efforts of Pakistan Study Center of the University.
Noted scholar and distinguished Professor Sharif Mujahid spoke about Two-Nation Theory. He said that Pakistan demand was raised on the premise that Hindus and Muslims were two separate nations. More specifically, that Muslims were a separate nation in their own right in the sub-continental context, and were, therefore, entitled to the right of self-determination.
Dr Jamali said that Quaid-e-Azam vision was of a progressive, secular and democratic Pakistan and added that how did we drift from that image and what we could do to get on the right track are the questions that have motivated Pakistan Study Centre to organise this National Conference.
