Jatoi hails Pak-Japan cooperation for promotion of auto-mobile sector
KARACHI: Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi here on Wednesday hailed close cooperation between Pakistan and Japan in the automobile sector.
Addressing a ceremony held to launch the latest model of Suzuki - Mehran (VXR), he said this was reflection of friendly ties between the two countries.
The Minister on the occasion appreciated contribution made by Japan in strengthening the local automobile and other industrial sectors in Pakistan.
He emphasized that PML (N) government under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has been successful in creating a congenial atmosphere for foreign investment in wide range of sectors across the country.
He also assured the proposals submitted by Pak-Suzuki for eradication of unemployment will be put before the cabinet for needed deliberation so as to be incorporated into government policy.
Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi said, Pak-Suzuki, in particular, has offered best possible vehicles, at affordable rates, to the people.
"The company has never compromised on quality and through its growing business also created thousands of job opportunities for the locals," he added.
The Federal Minister for Industries and Production said Pakistan with the support of its friends, that also include Japan, is fast on its way to emerge as industrialized country.
"Today's occasion is definitely going to be a milestone in the national economy," he said.
Senior governement officials representing federal and provincial government along with known industrialists and members of business community were also present on the occasion.
