Punjab Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering Minister Mian Shafqat Ali has ordered officials to give him a detailed report of all on-going development schemes and the pace of execution of the projects in a week.
In a department briefing, Secretary Khizar Hayat Gondal here on Friday, drawing Director General Shehzad Jamil¸ Public Health Engineering Special Secretary Shabir Ahmed, Water and Sanitation Authority Managing Director, Public Health Engineering and Lahore Development Authority and Traffic Engineering and Planning Authority officials, said the former government's development schemes would continue.
"The government is attaching a top priority to the provision of basic amenities like housing and potable water to the people of the province. It will use all available resources to facilitate people and officers should spend their maximum time in the field and personally monitor development schemes," Gondal said.
He ordered the officials to complete the schemes and contact him in case of any problem and also the officials of the Parks and Horticulture and the Water and Sanitation Authorities to be more efficient.
