Anwar Hussain Siddiqui, President of the Islamic University, selected nine students for three years' study in management sciences, after a selection interview conducted at the Faisal Masjid campus here on Monday.
Japan Embassy has provided bursary for these scholarships which are meant for 'underprivileged students,' according to Ms Ghazala, who deals with the embassy's scholarship programme. The total value of three year's programme would be Rs 2.1 million. The cost per student would be Rs 100,000 per year, according to Dr Khwaja, dealing scholarships at the IIU. He was one of the interviewers.
