The Vice Chancellor, University of Karachi, Dr Pirzada Qasim has stressed the need to create awareness about mental illness and mental health and asked people from all walks of life to come forward for this noble cause.
He was addressing a ceremony held at Expo Center here on Sunday in connection to World Mental Health Day. The Pakistan Association for Mental Health (PAMH) has organised the event that was largely attended by thousands of people including doctors, specialists, psychologists, academicians, opinion leaders, and representatives from different NGOs.
Professor S. Haroon Ahmed gave a brief introduction of the association and its current activities. While the general secretary of the PAMH, Dr Mohammed Suleman gave a vote of thanks to the chair, participants and sponsors.-PR
