The Election Commission of Pakistan has extended last date for filing of nomination papers for National and Provincial Assembly seats in Swat, Shangla, North Waziristan and Kurram Agency to December 6. However, elections in these areas would be held on the same date of January 8, said a press release issued here on Monday.
According to new election schedule for these areas, scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on December 7 and 8. While appeals against nomination papers could be filed till December 12. Decisions on these appeals will be made on December 14. The last date of withdrawal of nomination papers is December 15. Final list of candidates will be issued on December 16.
