A preliminary meeting to sign a MoU between the Technical Education and Vocational Training (Tevta), the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) and the Pro-Farm Pakistan (pvt) Ltd, a Holland-based agri-company, was held at Tevta secretariat here on Monday.
It was agreed that Tevta would organise a one-month artificial insemination technician-training programme in the field of artificial insemination to enhance the milk production through better breeds.
Tevta Secretary M Arshad Bhatti, ProFarm Pakistan Managing Director Steven Schulting, Breeding and Artificial Insemination of ProFarm Manager Dr Muhammad Ajmal Shahid, Agri-Sector Manager Dr Khalid Mahmood with his Dairy and Livestock sector of Smeda counterpart, Adnan Ali, attended the meeting. The details for launching the first training course at the Government Technical Training Institute in Okara were finalised.
