High Commission of Kenya, H.E Mishi Mwatsahu and Commercial Attaché of Kenya has visited Pakistan's premium institution "Guard Agricultural Research & Services Private Limited" and Guard Rice Factory Lahore.
Shahzad Ali Malik, Chief Executive Guard Agricultural Research and Services and Director Marketing Guard Group of Companies, Tamiour Ali Malik, Senior Executive, Dr G.M. Awasi Head of Research and staff members of Guard Agricultural and Research and Services (Pvt) Limited were present on the occasion.
Welcoming the High commission and Commercial Attaché of Kenya to the Factory, Shahzad Ali Malik Chief Executive Guard Rice briefed about the Guard Group and gave presentation to the research on Cotton, Maize and Rice.
Malik said "As with all Guard Group ventures, rice was no exception and all aspects of research, production, plantation, processing, packaging and distribution were undertaken, "Guard Rice is the only company in the private sector doing basic research and development of new varieties of Basmati in Pakistan."
He stated that R & D division of the Guard Agricultural, which has introduced Super Basmati in 1991 and recently Chinese hybrid rice. High Commission of Kenya, H.E Mishi Mwatsahu appreciated the research programme of Guard Agricultural Research and services (PVT.) Limited and exchange their views on different commodities for export and she be evidence for their interest of business in the field of rice, maize and cotton with Guard Group.
