Meezan Bank, the first and largest Islamic bank has been awarded second prize for the best annual corporate report in the financial sector jointly by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP).
The prize is awarded on the basis of a very comprehensive marking scheme that takes into consideration the quality and transparency of disclosures and information provided to investors. The award was received by Ariful Islam, COO of Meezan Bank at the award distribution ceremony for the 'Best Corporate Reports Awards-2006' held recently at a local hotel.
