Extra-curricular activities help promote various talents among the students, said the District Co-ordination Officer in a function at sub-divisional public school Jahanian on Monday. DCO Rao Shakil Ahmed said that sports and extra-curricular activities also enhance self-confidence in the youngsters, which is essential for success in life.
He lauded the contribution of the teachers towards inculcating in the young the urge to excel in activities like sports and dramatics, besides studies, and encouraging them in their various talents. The DCO said as a result of their sincere and diligent efforts the standard of education has also improved, and local educated youth have been enabled to compete with their peers from big cities.
Apart from teachers and students, district manager National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) Suhail Ahmed Meyo, Jahanian Press Club president AbdulMajid Rahmani, general secretary Naim Tariq were also present.
