Pakistan Business Association (PBA) Seoul has been formally registered under Korean Law to continue economic activities in the country to attract foreign investment for Pakistan and explore markets for Pakistani exports. The office of the PBA has already been inaugurated by Ambassador of Pakistan Murad Ali who also accepted to be Patron-In-chief of the Association.
The association has elected Shahid Bashir as President of PBA, while Khalid Khan was elected as Vice President, said a PBA message received here on Tuesday. Shabzada Khan has been elected as General Secretary of the association while Arif Munir as Finance Secretary, Muhammad Saleem as Information Secretary, Rana Munir as Community Secretary, Hafiz Abdul Waheed as Public Relation Secretary, Agha Raza as Membership Secretary.
Speaking on the occasion Ambassador Murad Ali congratulated the members of PBA for establishing business relations with their Korean Counterparts. He further emphasised the need for projecting the image of Pakistan and asked the PBA office-bearers to persuade Korean businessmen to enhance trade with Pakistan and also inform them of the opportunities of investment in Pakistan.
Shahid Bashir thanked the ambassador for accepting to become the Patron-in-Chief and assured him that PBA would carry out efforts to promote trade and investment in Pakistan. The opening of this office is a first step in projecting Pakistan as credible business friendly country, the message added.
