Punjab University vice-chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Arif Butt has said that crucial role in national development can be played with hard work, dedication and commitment.
"If students are taught in a better way it gives fruitful results hence it becomes a huge responsibility of teachers to guide and teach students in the best possible way', Arif Butt said this during his visit to Punjab University Laboratory High School on Tuesday.
Butt asked the teachers that it's their duty being spiritual parents to educate the students with commitment like their real children and create a competitive environment for them. He advised the teachers to refine creative skills in students and urge them to take part in curricular and co-curricular activities. He enquired about the problems being faced to teachers and ordered for their early solution.
Later the VC visited various classes. In class 7th, he announced an essay competition on 'Allama Iqbal' and a drawing competition in class 5th. He announced cash award to Farqan Rehman of class 3rd for reciting Naat.
Moreover, Punjab University B.Sc. Applied Geology, Second Professional, 2nd Annual Examination 2006 will commence from 10th December 2007. Punjab University examination department has issued notification in this regard.
