The police Iqbal Town Division have arrested two drug traffickers and seized 80 kilograms of cannabis worth thousands of rupees from them. The team was headed by DSP CIA Iqbal Town with other officials from Kala Khati Road Shahdara Town, who on a tip off arrested the gangs when they were smuggling the cannabis in a jeep from the tribal area to Lahore.
The culprits confessed later that they were smuggling narcotics for a long time and were supplying to Lahore and other parts of the province. They are facing a case at the Shahadara Town Police Station. Capital City Police Officer Additional IG Malik Muhammad Iqbal has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the police team.
