The government on Thursday clarified news items published in a section of press regarding official residence of the President.
The factual position is that Army House Rawalpindi including staff quarters and other buildings appurtenant thereto and the gardens thereof have been declared as official residence of President of Pakistan in addition to his official residence in Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad as admissible under President's Salary, Allowances and Privileges Act, 1975, said a press release. The Cabinet Division has already issued instructions to the Ministry of Housing and Works in this regard, it added.
