While respecting the stand taken by Geo team of not bowing down to government pressure, one would have to look into the fact about the channels who decided to go on air after signing the much trumpeted Code of Conduct.
The Dawn News and Aaj TV are reporting against several policies of the government with the same vigour which they had before November 3. Both the channels are mainstream channels and their reporting has been as defying as it used to be.
Honestly I believe either the government has been ill advised or the Code was not as bad as painted, otherwise the channels which are on air would not have started showing milk and honey oozing out of the Constitution Avenue and Presidential Palace. So is the code of conduct that big a deal?
