The annual election of 15 members of the managing committee and president of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) will be held on December 29 and election of Senior Vice President and Vice President will be held on December 31.
Last date for changing the names of authorised representatives and other objections has been fixed as December 14. Final list of voters will be circulated on December 19 and on same day the committee will start issuing of nomination papers for election of managing committee as well as president.
Last dates for receiving and withdrawing of nomination papers have been fixed as December 24 and December 26 respectively. Final list of candidates will be displayed on December 27.
Annual general meeting of the Chamber will be held on December 31. Poling will start at 9.30 am and remain continued till 6.30 pm with one interval from 1.30 pm to 2.30 pm for lunch and prayers.
Retiring members of managing committee (member class seats) include Abdul Majeed Memon, Saqin Naseem, Alamgir A Shaikh, Shamoon Bakir Ali, M Rafiq Mysorewala, Abdul Basit Haji A Razzak, Talat Mahmood, Munir Sultan, Salahuddin Ahmed, Agha Shahab A Khan, Mansoor A Sootwala, Naser Noor, Qazi Zahid Hussain and Shamim Ahmed Penwala. While Shahid Ismail will retire from Town Association seat.
