The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) is organising one day seminar on 'processing of value-added dates products manufacturing' on December 13.
The key speakers of the seminar include Engineer Syed Ali Ashaar Moosavi and Quaid from Iranian Dates Association-Tehran, Technical Director, Ardelino Lagda Saludeares and CEO, Zulqurnain Ali Khan of M/s Zultec International Jeddah. Speakers will highlight various aspects of value-added processing of dates products manufacturing.
Speakers will speak on value-addition of dates and products manufacturing into dates paste, date blocks, dates syrup, dates honey, date liquid sugar, date vinegar, date ethyl alcohol (fro medical purposes) and dates sparking (energy drinks). Pakistan's annual dates production stands at 600,000 tons. The country earned $38.3 million through exports of dates during 2006-07, which were over 1,04,000 tons.
