The general elections are a test for the people to get rid of the dictator and put the country on the path to democracy, political and economic stability, said Muhammad Haneef Abbasi, former MNA and a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (N) here on Wednesday.
"People would defeat the agents of dictators who cheated people and trampled their mandate," Abbasi said while talking to reporters. PML (N) leadership made real efforts for the democracy and faced state violence during the last seven years when top leadership was forced to leave the country, he said.
He reiterated to continue the struggle against tyranny saying that their movement would not end until complete restoration of democracy, constitution and reinstatement of deposed judges including freedom of media.
Haneef Abbasi, who won 2002 bye-elections from NA-56 on MMA ticket after defeating Rashid Shafique, nephew of Sh Rasheed joined PML-N, and expressed his full confidence in the leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-N. He told reporters that he will follow the party's policy.
