Bank of Punjab (BoP) President Hamesh Khan has announced an Education Support Programme for clerical and non-clerical staff of the bank. A bank spokesman said here on Friday that the scheme would provide an opportunity to the low income staff of the bank to educate at least one of their off springs.
Initially, under the Scheme, the Bank would provide financial assistance in shape of scholarship of Rs 500 per month to one child of every staff member in clerical and non-clerical cadre till completion of his education up to the level of Secondary School Certificate (Matriculation).
The bank would also undertake complete financial responsibility to complete higher education of the child and actual expenses incurred during the study period would be paid by the bank.
