The Karachi Port handled 109,077 tonnes cargo including 67,651 tonnes import, 41,426 tonnes export cargo and 4,073 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 74,756 tonnes dry cargo including 51,208 tonnes general cargo; 3,751 tonnes fertiliser; 12,100 tonnes coal; 325 tonnes rock Phosphate; 3,303 tonnes rice; 4,069 tonnes cement and 34,321 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Six ships namely MT Swat, Splandour, Hanjin Chittagong, Iran Tabatabaei, Ltc Calvin P. Titus and Naftocement-XI sailed out to sea during the report period. Eight vessels viz Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Cape Negro, Mir Damad, Kota Mesra, Orient Stride, Pacific Arrow, Sinin and Chemway Lara are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Yang Hai and Mir Damad expected to sail on Saturday, while six vessels viz Cape Negro, Bunga Kenari, Handytankers Glory, Pacific Arrow, Cherry and Sinin expected to sail on Sunday.
Five vessel viz Ncc Asir, Bunga Kenari, OEL Shreyas, Bright Ocean 2 and Spica due to arrive on Saturday, while eight ships namely Myrina, Lalazar, Itha Bhum, Conti Harmony, MOL Admiration, Golden Arrow II, Nealo 1 and Iron Butterfly are due to arrive on Sunday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 104,603 tonnes comprising 73,673 tonnes import and 30,930 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 3,152 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 23,269 tonnes furnace oil; 12,435 tonnes edible oil; 13,931 tonnes iron ore; 1,384 tonnes cement and 53,584 tonnes containerised cargo. Two container ships namely CV Al-Mariyah and CV Sima Pride sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
Two vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano and C-Felix are expected to sail on Saturday. A total of five ships namely MSC Germany, Lance Lot, Sophia, Songa Crystal and Vema Cape carrying containers, coal, wheat, chemicals and furnace oil are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight vessels viz CV Sima Pride, CV Maersk Novazzano, CV Al-Mariyah, MV Bernice, MT Gemini, MT C-Felix, MT Archangelos-R and MV Settle Trader are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, edible oil, furnace oil and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely CV Norfolk Express, CV MSC Germany, MT Songa Crystal and MV Sophia Carrying containers, chemicals and wheat due to take berths at Container Terminal, Engro Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Saturday.
