Asian physical rubber prices were mostly unchanged on Monday, as thin demand offset rises of futures contract prices on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange. Trading was thin as high prices kept buyers on the sidelines. "We expected thin trade from now on as we are getting close to the Chrismas and New Year holidays," a Thai trader said.
Physical prices were expected to remain buoyant this week due to limited supply as monsoon rains hit Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, disrupting tapping, traders said.
