The capital city is full of con men and hundreds of people are deprived from their valuables and cash by these cheats daily. On Tuesday a journalist became victim of the cheats and was deprive of Rs 24,000 by three men in sector G 9 market, near National Bank, in Karachi Company.
On Tuesday morning, when the journalist after drawing 24,000 cash from the National Bank in G 9 square came out on the road he saw a bearded man picking up a wade of cash from the ground. The journalist asked the man whether the cash was really his. Then the journalist walked away.
A few seconds later he (the journalist) was approached a robust young man, dressed in brown shalwar and kameez, crying he had dropped Rs 95,000. The journalist told him that he had seen a bearded man picking up some money from the ground.
After a few seconds another man accost him, who encouraged him to trace the man and have the money 'returned to the poor man who had dropped the cash.' In the meantime the man, who had picked up the money, appeared and then the third person suggested that they should trace the man who had reported missing the money.
