In occupied Kashmir, a court has quashed the detention of six persons who were detained under fake charges by Indian police in Kot Balwal and Udhampur jails. The court passed the release orders after hearing arguments of the defence counsels and prosecutors. The court described the detention unjustified and unlawful, KMS reported.
The persons whose detention was quashed by the court include Manzoor Ahmad Dar of Tral, Muhammad Shafiq Sheikh of Sopore, Nazir Ahmad Butt of Sopore, Fayaz Ahmad Dobhi of Sopore and Muhammad Ramzan Khan of Bandipore.
