The Bush administration has told Congress of plans to sell Morocco 24 Lockheed Martin Corp F-16C/D fighter aircraft, advanced weapons and related gear valued at up to $2.4 billion.
The sale would boost Morocco's ability to help in the US-declared global war on terrorism and enhance Morocco's ability to defend itself, the Pentagon's Defence Security Cooperation Agency said in a notice to lawmakers dated Tuesday.
