Director, Animal Husbandry, Sindh Hyderabad Dr Ghulam Sarwar Shaikh announced Monday for the general information of livestock owners/ma-ldars/farmers that there are possibilities of spread of animal diseases during 1st quarter of the year ie January to March-2008.
In an official handout he said that in large animals (cattle and buffaloes) hemorrhagic septicemia, anthrax and foot and mouth diseases and in small animals (sheep and goat) Enterio Toxemia, foot and mouth and Anthrax diseases are expected to be spread. He advised all livestock owners/maldars to get their animals vaccinated against the contagious disease.
