Like other parts of the country, Eid-ul-Azha was celebrated with full religious zeal here in Swat as the day started with morning prayers where special dua for the security and solidarity of the country was offered.
Meanwhile, Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Muhammad Masood Aslam also visited various battalions and formations deployed in Swat and greeted them on Eid, said an ISPR press release issued here.
He paid glowing tributes to all ranks of Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps for serving with selfless devotion and undaunted dedication. He commended high morale of troops who were braving harsh weather conditions and difficult terrain with courage and fortitude.
He also had 'Eid Bara Khana' with troops. General Officer Commanding Major General Naseer Khan Janjua and Inspector General Frontier Corps Major General Muhammad Alam Khattak were also present on the occasion. The Pakistan Army with the help of local administration distributed special Eid package which included warm clothing, blanket and food hampers amongst the locals of Kanju and Khwazakhela.
