Total investment under Continuous Funding System (CFS) at Karachi share market remained near its upper cap of Rs 55 billion during the outgoing week ended on December 27, 2007. On the last trading day of the week, the CFS investment was recorded at Rs 54.51 billion.
On the other hand, the CFS rate also remained above 14 percent and finally settled at 14.1 percent on the last trading day of the week. "The market is witnessing shortage of liquidity during the last few weeks due to the year-end", a leading analyst said. The CFS rate was on higher side due to the shortage of liquidity, he added.
