Deputy Inspector General Police Rawalpindi Saud Aziz on Sunday contradicted the news item appearing in a section of press quoting the statement of Barrister Athar Minallah regarding post-mortem of Benazir. Talking to APP, he said it was a political statement, which was contrary to the actual situation and facts. He added post-mortem is only allowed by family members.
He said Asif Ali Zardari had stopped Punjab home department from post-mortem of Benazir. He said the statement attributed to him was totally baseless that he was against the post-mortem saying "I was saying that autopsy should be carried out."
