Contradictory statements reflect failure of government: Baloch

Naib Amir Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Liaquat Baloch has said that contradictory statements are the failures of government and the interior ministry. Talking to newsmen after expressing his sorrow with Asif Ali Zardari the spouse of Benazir Bhutto here on Sunday, he said they do not accept the investigation of interior ministry.
He demanded the formation of Investigation Commission headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and other deposed judges for the probe of Liaquat Bagh incident. "The government has further exposed itself after the denial of Baitullah Mehsood", Liaquat Baloch said.
He said that 160 million people are in the state of agony due to the death of PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto. He said Jamaat-i-Islami, its leadership and workers fully share the sorrow and grief of PPP. Liaquat Baloch termed the target killing of Benazir Bhutto as an attack against federation.
He said the opposition parties will not attend the APC of powerless and paralysed interim government headed by Pervez Musharraf. He said the participation in APC would be tantamount to recognise Musharraf rule.
The MMA leader said chaos and anarchy in the country is the result of wrong policies of Pervez Musharraf. He said Musharraf is responsible for the killing in the country. He said the reaction should have been peaceful rather violent after the brutal killing of Benazir Bhutto.
He said in the reaction private and public property was destroyed. He said in fact it is the hate against Pervez Musharraf. "When leaders removed judiciary, closed doors for justice and a dictator trampled the constitution for his rule then who will obey the law and the constitution", he said.
Liaquat Baloch said the people of entire Punjab are with the bereaved family. He said the only solution of the problem is the resignation of Pervez Musharraf and hand over power to chairman Senate. He asked Pervez Musharraf to annul all the steps taken on November 3rd as Chief of Army Staff. He said that a consensus national interim government and powerful election commission should be formed.
He said appointment of chairman Senate as Interim Prime Minister is against the constitution. He said chairman Senate can only hold the power of President in his absence.
Naib Amir JI said that they expect the boycott of PML-N and JUI Central Jamiat Al-Hadith and hoped that PPP, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Asfandyar Wali will also boycott the fraud elections.
