Quran Khawani and Fateha Khawani were arranged for the departed soul of slain chairperson PPP Benazir Bhutto here at Imambargah Nichari Hazara on her Soyem on Sunday. Hundreds of people, central provincial leaders and workers of the party attended the Quran Khawani and Fateha Khawani.
They expressed their grief, sorrow and condolences over the sad demise of the PPP chairperson. An 'Ijtamai Dua' (collective prayer) was also held for the departed soul of the party chairperson.
Earlier, hundreds of PPP workers brought out a rally from Sarawan House, the residence of the provincial president PPP Lashkari Raisani, which passed through different roads and culminated at Imambargah Nichari Hazara. They carried banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the assassination of the party chairperson.
They also chanted slogans and demanded of the government to bring to justice those who are responsible for the tragic incident. Meanwhile, Khawatin (Women) Wing of PPP also arranged Fateha Khawani and Quran Khawani here at the MPA hostel. Women party workers offered Fateha and recited Holy Quran for the departed soul of the party chairperson.
Hundreds of PPP workers offered 'Ghaibana Nimaz-i-Jinaza' for the slain party leader here at the Sarawan House. Later, 'Ijtamai Dua' was also offered on the occasion.
