All Pakistan Trade Unions Federation (APTUF) in its emergency meeting on Sunday termed the assassination of PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto a target killing and demanded for setting up an independent inquiry commission to look into the tragic incident in a fair and impartial manner.
The meeting, which was chaired by APTFU Secretary General Gulzar Ahmed Chaudhry, strongly condemned the brutal assassination of Benazir Bhutto terming the day of December 27 as darkest day in the history of Pakistan.
The participants said that she was a courageous and brave politician not only in South Asia but also in the whole world, who scarified her life for the country. The meeting also called for holding fair and free election in the country and urged the government to ensure security to the life of politicians as well as common people of the country.
