The Karachi Port handled 105,726 tonnes cargo including 90,311 tonnes import, 15,415 tonnes export cargo and 1,889 containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday. The cargo comprised of 100,327 tonnes dry cargo including 60,437 tonnes general cargo; 2,356 tonnes fertiliser; 37,534 tonnes coal and 5,399 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Comorin Pride, Simn Sohbu, Orient Stride, Damiela, MT Swat, Glodama and Gold Star sailed out to sea during the report period. Ten vessels viz Sea Breeze Bulker, Damiela, Tenth Ocean, OEL Shreyne, Jitra Bhum, Lamphnn Navee, Sinar Bintan, Bolan, Gold Star and Bnkluri are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Jitra Bhum, Breeze and Nordma Redecca expected to sail on Monday, while six vessels viz OEL Shreyna, Harmony, Lamphnn Navee, Tenth Ocean, Hnoun and World Majesty expected to sail on Tuesday.
Three vessels viz Harmony, Kota Ganteng and Ariclla due to arrive on Monday, while seven ships namely Oriental Protea, Hartati, S. Kala-1, Sununi Superstar, Noor-e-Madina, Sea Princess and Yusu Penbe are due to arrive on Tuesday.
The cargo comprised of 15,211 tonnes diesel oil; 1,837 tonnes seeds and 20,298 tonnes containerised cargo. Two ships namely Maersk Novazzano and Athlos sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total of three ships namely Leopard-B, Zanziber and Gold Star carrying containers and edible oil are currently at the outer anchorage.
Five vessels viz Maersk Novazzano, APL Amazonite, Alexandra-T, Athlos and Orinoco are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, rape seeds and diesel oil respectively during the report period. Three ships namely Maersk Carolina, Nedlloyd America and Gold Star due to take berths at Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Monday.
