MARKET ANALYSIS: The national currency shed major grounds against dollar in the kerb dealings today. The US dollar opened new day's trading at Rs 61/05, posted a gain of 0/35 paisas and changed hands at Rs 61/40 at close of markets on Monday. Thus, rupee ended the day on a negative note versus dollar in the open market.
