CPEC mega project for both countries: Senator Taj Haider
QUETTA: Senator Taj Haider, Chairman of China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) said that CPEC was a mega project for both countries and it would put a positive impact in the entire world.
He said that the project would create ample job opportunities for the local people of Gwadar and other areas of Balochistan.
Senator Taj Haider said these view when he presided a meeting in Gwadar port on Wednesday.
He said that CPEC project would put a positive impact in the region and adding that local fisherman would also benefit from project and futher improve their earnings.
The Senate Special Committee delegation comprised Senator Dr, Jahanzeb Jamalidini, Senator Mir Kabir Muhammad Shai, Senator Nawabzada Saifullah Khan Magsi, Senator Usman Khan Kakar, Senator Shabli Faraz, Senator Ghous Muhammad Khan Niazi, and Senator Sardar Azam Musakhel.
Senator Taj Haider directed GDA, Civil Aviation and Railway authorities for early completion of ongoing schemes of CPEC for betterment of local people.
Gwadar Port Chairman Dostain Jamaldini, Gwadar Development Authority, Director General Munir Ahmed, Civil Aviation and Railway Authority briefing the delegation of the Senate Special Committee for CPEC, said that land issue of these projects would be solved so that these could be completed on time.
The delegations also inspected D-Celation Plant of Gwadar which was closed for long time.
The Senate Special Committee will visit Turbat on Thursday where the delegation will be briefed about CPEC project.
