Army troops recovered huge quantity of stolen goods while maintaining law and order situation in Hyderabad region. According to a press release, issued here on Tuesday.
Pakistan Army troops deployed since tragic incident of December 27, 2007 in aid of civil power, have recovered goods worth Rs 13 million from Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Kotri and Mirpurkhas, Badin districts within two days.
Army authorities were constantly in search of criminal elements, who exploited the situation and indulged in looting. The headquarters are receiving telephone calls and gathering information in close co-operation with the police and Rangers to detect the looted, stolen goods during riots at various places.
Goods, which are recovered included household utility items, (Cooking oil, atta, sugger) electronics, computers, spare parts and many other items, which have now been handed over to civil administration for accounting proper record and soon will be handed over to the owners. Beside, troops are constantly patrolling in the areas round the clock to maintain law and order.
